Had the same problem as well, a friend lent me some money, was like 950k for the swift spectral in 2018, back when it was going for 25 mil and when I finished recovering gold and gave it back to him, he got a suspension for real world trading, even though if they had checked the chat log, it would've been very clear to them that it was giving back the gold he lent me after 3-4 days, however long it took to answer him, they unbanned him and gave him back the game time he lost due to the wrongful ban. So it is still very unlikely to get people banned when they do this kind of stuff from just their home pc. Not a lot of people are traveling the world AND give ridiculously large sums of gold to other people. Basically, they do followups on money tradings.īut your case is so niche, you have to admit. ![]() The GM explained that it was like a protective hold on my account as it was logged in another continent and was doing traction on large amount of gold. After coming home, found that my account got locked. Once upon a time went to travel in another continent and a friend needed some gold for BMAH, logged in and traded 1 million gold to him (when gold cap was only 1 million). Sounds like wishful thinking bud, Blizzard doesn't do anything about bots or spammers, and you think they're going to followup on individual transactions?Īctually they do. ![]() Sounds like a sure fire way to get you and your friend account flagged and potentially banned if you're moving large amounts of gold. I mean, you can't mail it but you can make a group with a friend, give them any item you wanted to mail yourself and ask them to give it back to you on your horde character, if you need to trade H-A you can go to any instance and you'll be able to.
